Enjoy a Better Life By Learning about Diabetes
Causes, Symptoms, Treatment Options & Prevention

Diabetes can affect just about any person at any age. Most people struggle to understand the warning signs of diabetes and how it affects them. After they are first diagnosed they go through a wide variety of emotions trying to cope. In my experience, I have watched friends and family members struggle with the day to day with the affects, just trying to live a somewhat normal life.

This has prompted me to do research so that I can have a better understanding to help my friends and family. My hope is for this site to shine a light on the important information of this disease to help people be able to have better control over their diabetes management. Now I want to share my findings with the world on what it is, the first signs of this disease and how to better manage and maintain normal blood sugar levels with alternative treatment options.

Here's an interesting question, is a rise in blood sugar the cause or the symptom of Type 2 Diabetes?

Don't worry if you don't get the answer correct because some doctors don't completely understand this either.

Think about the question for a few more moments before I give you the answer.

Ok ready, here it is....(drum roll please).

Many people may not know this but, high blood sugar is the symptom of it.

Here is a comparison, when you have a cold or flu your nose will run. Your nose is not the problem. It's the bacteria or virus in your sinuses that causes your nose to run. Your nose is trying to get rid of the problem causing you to be sick.

So what is the role of insulin? Is it to control blood sugar levels in the body? No, actually the major role of insulin is to take extra energy when it's available and store it for a the future time of need. The lowering of glucose is a side effect of directing the extra energy into storage. Having low insulin levels is a sign that energy is scarce. Low levels also help regulate the aging rate and reduces major symptoms of aging and many other diseases like Heart disease, obesity, osteoporosis, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and even cancer. Having a controlled and normal insulin level is very healthy for you.

So if you think you are a person who has, may develop, or may know someone with this disease. Learn all the facts so that you can to educate yourself or a loved one and make the best decision for your health.
