Sugar - Does it cause Diabetes or not?

Sugar Many diabetes patients are told repeatedly to stay completely away from sugar because it causes diabetes. Doctors and health care professional tell their patients they need to switch to artificial sweeteners to help control their diabetes. Well believe it or not this is not true.

It does need to be limited but it does not cause diabetes. In this situation the only crime is the calories that it has. Calories could be defined as a unit of energy for the body ready to be burned off. However, many people take in more calories than they burn causing most to gain weight.

Many of these artificial sweeteners contain poisons that can have harmful effects on the body. These may cause headaches, joint pain, respiratory problems, tumors, and many other health problems.

To give yourself the best health possible use natural sweeteners instead of artificial ones. So for everyone, not just diabetics, remember to limit the sweets so you are not taking in extra calories and exercise continuously for 20 minutes a day to help your body stay healthy.
